Of course you could visit France without drinking wine, like you can see Rome without going to the coliseum, but that wouldn’t be far from a mortal sin in our standards.

In NIMES you could do both, enter the best-preserved roman area in the world, walk the splendid Fontaine’s gardens, visit the famous Romanité museum (option), stroll the picturesque streets of the old town, wet your whistles at the stunning covered market (Halles de Nîmes), and discover the splendid COSTIERES DE NIMES, a red wine between land and sea.
