Once the south east garden, the GRASSE district remains today the most beautiful countryside of the French Riviera, and became UNESCO world heritage for the production of perfume. Olive grove, perfume factory, aromatic flowers garden, there’s a lot to choose from.
Even today, the largest perfume houses produce their emblematic flowers on these sun-drenched lands. Thus the Lancôme’s rose or the Dior’s jasmine bloom between sea and mountain. A flower producer, a perfume plants garden, an artisanal perfume maker, or a family olive grove, you have the choice of your Grasse experience.
Driving up in the heights you will reach the village of CABRIS, where Antoine de Saint Exupery used to visit his mother. We could say that the local love this village, but all it takes is to look at the breathtaking panorama you get from this balcony of the Riviera, to convince you that lunch time there will not be long enough.
Then you will follow the famous NAPOLEON ROAD up to Caussols. Overlooking the Grasse country, the CAUSSOLS PLATEAU has attracted shepherds from antiquity until today. In our eyes it is one of the most fascinating places in the south of France, with its magnetic beauty. Ideal for tasting the only wine produced in the hills, and it’s a very good one.
It will take you to the village of GOURDON, one of the superstar among the perched villages ; also famous for its CANYON which ends in PONT DU LOUP where a CRAFT BREWERY offers beers to drink under the orange terraces during a private tasting of which we have the secret.
One of our favorite program.
